No. Travel Angel covers your life, not your luggage or travel issues.
It depends on the cause of the accident and if the transporter is legally found responsible. Eventual payouts might be paid out to you but usually, it takes long legal and administrative procedures to get it.

Yes. Travel Angel is independent of other life insurances you might have.
A maximum of 48 hours following the approval of the requested claim.
Terrorism, acts of war, nuclear-chemical events, catastrophic climate events, suicide, and health issues causing death are not covered.

Applying
Eligibility
Travel Angel accepts the majority of the world’s residents and nationals aged between 18 and 80 who are reaching the Travel Angel website. (see eligible country)
Yes. As per due diligence regulations Travel Angel is not available to various residents or nationals including in the Bahamas. (see eligible countries)
Signing-In
Onboarding is done solely online at the Travel Angel website using a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
Click the Onboard button and fill in your personal data, choose your plan and proceed with payment.
No, we don’t ask anything about your health situation.
After signing in, your ID (passport or national ID card) and proof of address need to be uploaded.
No. Only one policy per client is possible.
Yes. After signing in and uploading the requested documents, your insurance is activated and you will receive a digital policy certificate.
Pricing Plan
Travel Angel offers 3 different plans:
- 1-month basic for U$ 19
- 1-month premium for U$ 25
- 12-month premium for U$ 199

Yes, as long as the ID and proof of address belong to the policyholder.
Policy
My data
Except for your name and date of birth, all data can be updated and a new verification process will apply.
Once the new information is updated, the system will require you to upload your new documents to perform a new validation.
Beneficiary(ies)
Anyone, but in general a husband, wife, child, relationship partners, direct family members, or close friends are selected.
A maximum of two (2) beneficiaries could be registered and in the case of fatality, the US $100,000 payout will be divided according to the split ratio.
The payout can be paid to a child bank account (if any) and as instructed by the responsible parent.
Yes, you can change your beneficiary(ies) anytime during the plan coverage. However, the beneficiary(ies) cannot be changed once a Claim process has started.
The payout will go to the next inline beneficiary as per the laws of intestacy.
Renewal
Your policy is automatically renewed for the same plan period unless canceled before the allowed 7-day notice period.
Yes. After logging in, go to the My Plan section and update your renewal for a different coverage period.
Termination
Your policy can be canceled anytime 7 days before the end of the term plan.
Example: If your 6-month plan finishes on June 30, you could cancel it no later than May 23.
Yes. Just log in again with your credentials and click the re-activate button on the My Plan section.
Claim
Click on the Claim button at the top of Travel Angel’s website and follow the instructions.
No. The Claim process can only be done on Travel Angel’s website using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Also, you need the login and password credentials of the policyholder during the Sign-in process.
- Travel/trip information including date, transport means (plane, train, etc.), transportation company (or owner/drive in case of electric vehicle), destination details, and ticket information
- Certified police or medical certificate of death for the policyholder
- Certified copy of ticket information in the name of the policyholder
- Certified IDs + proof of address for the beneficiary(ies)
- Beneficiary(ies) banking details
